Artist's Description
Detail of the lantern on the bow of the HMS Bounty. Formerly docked at The Pier in St Petersburg, FL this ship was featured in films "Mutiny on the Bounty" (1962) and one of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy. Sadly, this vessel and two of its crew members were lost off the coast of North Carolina during Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from the University of Florida in 1985, and worked in design and advertising for 15 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. I married my college sweetheart, and we have two almost-grown children. I was born in Philadelphia, but happily consider myself a Florida girl, as I have lived in the beautiful Sunshine State nearly all my life. No longer a slave to client deadlines, I am happy to be creating just the art I want to create at this stage in my life. I love finding beauty in the ordinary--in fact, I rarely ever stage or set-up a photo because I find it's just not necessary. Wonderful images are all around us every day!
